The Botox century

Clearly, Botox is a metaphor for our time.

But I’m not thrilled to have it foisted on me in the form of a Page One sticker. Step right up, ladies and gentlemen, and sip from the botulism pool and look MARVELOUS. It’s the walk-in special at the botulism and dermal filler bar.

You don’t even have to name your poison, but mind the spittoon.

The roaring Rillito

Sunday morning was a fine time to walk along the river and see the rarely rampaging Rillito. This is a hand-held, herky-jerky, minute-long video taken with my amazing little Sony Mark III. Lots of water with some canine joie de vivre at the end. Music is the classic Embryonic Journey by Jorma Kaukonen of the Jefferson Airplane (from the album Surrealistic Pillow, recorded in 1967, nearly a half-century ago).

See it here.
